There’s big doings in the world of high fashion…or at least in magazines about fashion. Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour has been defending her magazine’s decision to put Kim Kardashian and Kayne West on the cover of the elite fashion magazine’s April edition.
In a message that has been ‘retweeted’ over 8,000 times and ‘favorited’ (is that even a word?) by 11,000 people, Aatress Sarah Michelle Gellar wrote: “Well……I guess I’m canceling myVogue subscription. Who is with me???” seeming to reiterate what a lot of people are feeling. Vogue’s Facebook page and website have been inundated with hundreds of angry messages about Kim and Kayne gracing the magazine’s cover.
Do Kim and Kayne, certainly popular cultural figures, warrant a Vogue cover? One must remember, Kim and Kanye have more than 30 million Twitter followers…Vogue only 3.6 million.
Who can say what is and isn’t fashion-able? When it comes to your own style in clothing and most importantly the hair that you wear the decision of what to do with your do is up to you…and your Guci stylist. Of course we try to follow trends, we keep up-to-date with the latest cuts, colors and of course hair restoration technologies (just look at how cutting edge up-to-date our CTR system is or our White Diamond Ultra Sonic Hair Repair treatment. It’s just truly hard to pin down what is and what isn’t fashionable in a objective sense.
At Guci we just do the best job we can for you, advise when we can, but ultimately let you determine what works for the ‘cover’ you present to the world.
